The Humane Foundation is a nonprofit organization. 


We seek to BRING TOGETHER peace-makers, world-changers, human rights activists, green people, animal lovers, idealists, non-conformists, revolutionaries, progressives, futurists, 

Who are against the negative impact some members of the human kind have caused, and are still causing upon 

PEOPLE :: intolerance, hate, discrimination, war, suffering, oppression, exploitation, depravation, manipulation, slavery, poverty, hunger, thirst…, 

ANIMALS :: use, abuse, suffering, exploitation, oppression, captivity, confinement, mutilations, slavery,… and 

THE ENVIRONMENT :: capitalization and depletion of natural resources; deforestation and soil erosion; pollution of soil, water, and air; over population and over consumption; species extinction, … 

And are willing to join our efforts to EDUCATE and INFORM the students and the community by: 
  •  “ Providing accurate information about the issues of our time so that people have the information they need to understand the consequences of their decisions as citizens.
  • Fostering curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking, so that people can evaluate information and solve problems.
  • Instilling reverence, respect, and responsibility, so that people have the motivation to face challenges and to act with integrity.
  • Offering positive choices that benefit oneself, other people, the animals, and the Earth, and tools for problem solving so that people are empowered to create a more humane world.”
We achieve this through HUMANE EDUCATION, which “may well be the most revolutionary and effectiveeffort that we as a society can undertake to c reate a peaceful and just world. “

PROGRAMS

- The 2009 national award winning program THE HUMANE SCHOOL INITIATIVE is the Humane Foundation's main program. It seeks to inspire youth to be aware of our impact on others, animals, and the environment through our daily actions, and make informed humane choices so that they can help create a humane world and consequently a safer, greener, and more humane school.

- The YOUTH LEAD for a HUMANE WORLD Club is a students club divided in three teams that evaluate school issues related to the students relations with themselves, with others, with other species, and with the environment. The students then seek for solutions to these issues and implement them to turn the school into a safer, greener, and more humane school. 

- The HUMANE HONOR SOCIETY is our developing project that takes leadership to the next level, forming the leaders of the humane world we envision and equipped to take leadership positions all the way up to a governmental level.

- The HUMANE FAITH INITIATIVE seeks to open up a dialogue in the communities of faith to explore the humane principles found in each faith group and invite people of faith to live by humane principles as the highest standard way of life.

- The HUMANE BUSINESS MODEL  proposes humane business practices that are necessary for a future humane world.

- The HUMANE COMMUNITY INITIATIVE educate community members on ways to living humane and implement humane practices to create humane communities.

- The HUMANE ACADEMY offers training where participants can learn the principles of humane living through workshops, seminars, formal classes, and more. 

- The HIGH PERFORMANCE SCHOOL of HUMANE EDUCATION is one of our cap programs. The school of the future bringing the best educational practices through a humane education driven curriculum.
